Senior Bookkeeper

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper in Israel.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage and maintain financial records with precision, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth accounting operations. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end bookkeeping processes, reconcile accounts, manage multi-currency transactions, and support payroll and tax reporting. You will collaborate closely with the finance team to optimize workflows, assist with cash flow forecasting, and contribute to strategic financial planning. This position offers exposure to complex financial systems, international operations, and opportunities to implement best practices in accounting and reporting. The ideal candidate is highly accurate, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced professional environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Lead monthly closing processes and prepare Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Manage provisions, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, cash flow, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with ongoing tax and statutory reporting requirements, including VAT, withholdings, and balances.
  • Support payroll processes, reviewing calculations and statutory reporting where needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on financial projects and continuous process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Certified Bookkeeper (Type 3) with 7+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Practical experience with ERP systems and multi-currency financial management.
  • Hands-on payroll experience is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial tools such as Michpal, TAS, or DOKKA.
  • High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Personal attributes: highly accurate, accountable, independent, hands-on, strong communicator, reliable, discreet, and team-oriented.
