Position Summary
Golden Gate Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and highly organized Obstetrical Coordinator Nurse to join our esteemed women’s health team.
In this high-impact role, you’ll be a vital educator and care navigator, empowering expectant mothers through every stage of their pregnancy and postpartum journey. You will seamlessly coordinate time-sensitive testing, procedures, referrals, and follow-up care while serving as the trusted liaison between patients, providers, and external specialists. Your expertise will drive exceptional patient experiences, ensure flawless continuity of care, and deliver outstanding clinical coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Masterfully orchestrate prenatal and postpartum testing, procedures, referrals, and follow-up care to optimize patient outcomes
- Proactively schedule high-priority services including inductions, external cephalic versions, specialty consultations, genetic services, and procedures
- Deliver impactful patient education on genetic screenings, diagnostic testing, clinical recommendations, and results with clarity and empathy
- Provide exceptional multi-channel communication via phone, patient portal, email, and in-person visits to keep patients informed and supported
- Maintain meticulous documentation and real-time obstetrical tracking systems to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and compliance
- Drive timely follow-up on routine obstetrical testing and deliver test results with compassion and professionalism
- Conduct personalized postpartum follow-up calls to ensure maternal support and enhance patient satisfaction
- Build strong partnerships with external facilities (PDC, MFM, Laboratories, Hospitals) to ensure seamless referrals and coordinated care
- Collaborate seamlessly with providers, staff, and phlebotomy teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care
- Champion outstanding customer service and compassionate support, creating memorable experiences throughout the pregnancy journey

This is a full-time (four or five days per week) benefitted position!

Requirements: Education- Current California RN or BSN license required
- College degree or higher preferred
- Strong administrative and front office support experience
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance fundamentals preferred
- Obstetrical experience required
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency
- Experience with Microsoft Office, data entry, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
