Non-CDL Delivery Driver in Latham, New York at RJ Murray Co.

Position Summary

R.J. Murray Co., Inc. is seeking a dependable Non-CDL Delivery Driver to support daily delivery operations from our Latham distribution facility. This role is responsible for safely delivering HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to customers while maintaining excellent service, safety, and professionalism.

This is a full-time, in-person position ideal for someone who takes pride in safe driving, reliability, teamwork, and supporting warehouse and delivery operations in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Load, secure, and deliver products based on assigned delivery routes
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including fluids, tires, brakes, and lights
• Ensure deliveries are accurate, properly documented, and completed on schedule
• Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding delays, delivery issues, or route changes
• Report customer feedback, accidents, vehicle damage, or safety concerns promptly
• Assist with warehouse duties, staging orders, and loading/unloading as needed
• Maintain general care of vehicles and equipment, including trailers, pallet jacks, and GPS systems
• Follow all safety procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, and company policies

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid, clean state-issued driver’s license
• Favorable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check
• Driving experience for business purposes preferred
• Ability to pass a NY DOT physical, if required
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds regularly
• Forklift experience preferred (training available if needed)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Dependable, safety-focused, and service-oriented
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
