About This Position

Position Title: Appliance Installer and Delivery Driver

Description

The Appliance Installer and Delivery Driver plays a key role in supporting our Showroom and Branch operations by delivering and installing household appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, ice machines, wine coolers, over-the-range microwaves, 46"+ oven ranges, and other related products. This position is responsible for performing installations in an efficient, safe, and professional manner while maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor when working with production home builders as well as custom and semi-custom home projects.

In addition to installation responsibilities, this role may assist with warehouse operations and delivery duties as needed to support overall branch efficiency and customer service.

Job Duties
  • Adhere to all company safety standards and practices.

  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with appliances, materials, and installation equipment.

  • Transport appliances to job sites and perform deliveries in a safe and professional manner.

  • Assemble and disassemble equipment as required for proper installation.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at job sites and within the warehouse.

  • Educate customers on the proper use, care, and maintenance of installed appliances and demonstrate appropriate operation when necessary.

  • Accurately record deliveries, installations, and service work using designated forms or internal systems.

  • Document service and installation work to identify issues and corrective actions taken.

  • Track, monitor, and safeguard inventory, materials, and installation supplies.

  • Stay current with applicable local and state building codes, installation requirements, and product technology.

  • Inspect job sites, equipment, and structures to determine installation feasibility and identify potential issues; communicate concerns to supervisors in advance.

  • Maintain working knowledge of company products and services.

  • Assist with warehouse organization, material handling, and other operational tasks as assigned.

  • Support delivery driver duties when needed to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.

  • Demonstrate flexibility with changing policies, procedures, and scheduling deadlines.

  • Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs and full body movement including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and material handling. Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver 100+ lbs. with proper equipment is required.

  • Operate power tools safely and effectively.

  • Determine and utilize the correct screws, bits, fasteners, and installation components required for each job.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and successful project completion.
