What You’ll Do:
Own Core Accounting Functions
- Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
- Oversee key balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support accounts payable, receivable, and cash management functions as needed
Lead Month-End Close
- Own key components of the monthly and annual close process
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of close deliverables
- Prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and close analytics
Financial Reporting & Business Support
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop internal reporting packages for leadership review
- Analyze financial results, trends, and variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Improve Processes & Controls
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend smarter ways of working
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Help implement automation, system enhancements, or workflow improvements
Leadership & Growth
- Partner closely with accounting leadership on priorities and initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a go-to resource
- Take on special projects and increased responsibility over time
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- CPA or CPA track a plus
- Experience in professional services, legal, mortgage, real estate, or high-volume transactional environments a plus
- Experience supporting audits, budgeting, or forecasting a plus
