API International is a family business that was established in Portland, Oregon, in 1979. We are a manufacturer and engineering solutions provider that specializes in flanges, expansion joints, valves, other pipe fittings, and custom-fabricated parts for the Agriculture, Exhaust, HVAC, and Water Works markets. The Warehouse Associate position supports API by assisting the warehouse department in receiving products and fulfilling customer orders promptly, consistent with API’s focus on overall product and service quality targets.

A typical day:
  • Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Read, pull, and package small sales orders.
  • Package and prepare products for shipment.
  • Properly locate and identify parts in the warehouse.
  • Assist and process in receiving import and domestic product containers.
  • Perform duties in accordance with published health, safety, and general housekeeping procedures.
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities: assist others on the team, improve the company’s support systems, and meet/exceed departmental and/or corporate goals.

The ideal candidate requires the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of product handling and packaging techniques.
  • Must be willing to take courses relating to this position.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and competently (i.e., pallet jacks, stackers, forklifts, stretch-wrap equipment, etc.).

We highly prefer the following:

  • Certified forklift operator.
