We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the International Trade Compliance Coordinator position, joining our Nottingham, PA team!
  • SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday approximately 40+ hours a week- (9-5).

Job Summary:
This role ensures a company follows international export laws by managing documentation (HTS codes, origin, valuation), conducting audits, training staff, and liaising with customs to prevent penalties, managing risks and maintaining a smooth global trade operation. This role bridges sales and logistics, managing international orders, preparing critical export documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates) from time to time.
This individual will manage daily tasks like classifying goods, verifying Free Trade Agreements (FTAS), resolving customs issues, and updating compliance programs. They are to analyze, and offer recommendations to support Ocean Export, and Air Export improvements, efficiencies, and business development

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to export regulations, including customs laws, trade agreements, and licensing requirements.
  • Organize records: Organize files from 2020 current of all export transactions, including shipping documents, licenses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes within centralized location for proper record keeping.
  • Maintain records: Keep comprehensive records of all export transactions, including shipping documents, licenses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes within centralized location for current orders going forward.
  • Documentation management: Prepare and review export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collect Proof of Export (Ocean Bill of Lading and AES Transmittal) from freight forwarders and verify the information for accuracy.
  • Assist in coordinating shipments: Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to arrange transportation, track shipments, and manage customs clearance processes.
  • Tariff classification: Accurately classify exported goods according to customs tariff codes to determine duty rates and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Export Screening- Check potential customers, partners, and transactions against government watchlist.
  • Identifying and reporting potential trade compliance risks to senior management and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
