This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Azure Build Engineer in India.
This role is focused on designing, automating, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines within a modern Azure-based cloud environment to enable reliable and scalable software delivery. You will play a key role in building robust deployment frameworks that support development, testing, and production environments across multiple applications. The position involves working at the intersection of DevOps, cloud engineering, and automation to improve release efficiency and system stability. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to streamline build processes and resolve deployment challenges. In addition to pipeline engineering, you will contribute to infrastructure management using modern cloud-native tools and practices. This is a highly technical, hands-on role that directly impacts deployment speed, system reliability, and engineering productivity.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Manage build, release, and packaging processes across multiple environments ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize build and deployment performance while resolving pipeline issues efficiently.
- Manage Azure cloud infrastructure components including compute, storage, and networking services.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, and Bicep.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery processes.
- Maintain version control and repository management using Git and Azure DevOps tools.
- Prepare and publish release notes and communicate deployment updates to stakeholders and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, or CI/CD pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repositories, and artifacts.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services such as App Services, Storage, and Networking.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems.
- Nice to have: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, AZ-400 or AZ-104 certifications, and familiarity with automation or regression testing tools.
