About This Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our restaurant operations within a private, high-paced club environment. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for delivering exceptional member and guest experiences while driving financial performance, maintaining best-in-class service standards, and fostering a positive, professional team culture. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing member satisfaction, managing day-to-day F&B operations, and consistently meeting or exceeding membership expectations.
ROLE OVERVIEWThe Restaurant Manager embodies a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. As a key leader, you will work closely with the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, senior leadership, and all front-of-house Associates to develop menus, manage purchasing, conduct training, and implement strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and member satisfaction. You will monitor member feedback, resolve concerns proactively, and continuously improve the overall dining experience.
CORE RESPONSBILITIES- Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Drive product and member service culture by circulating on the restaurant floor and continually checking with guests and service staff to ensure best-in-class service and satisfaction
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service; identify member needs and respond proactively to all concerns
- Collaborate with the Beverage Manager & Food & Beverage Directors on all wine & beverage menus, submit order guide to Beverage Manager weekly, and continuously make necessary improvements to menus.
- Lead, recruit, train, schedule, evaluate, and supervise all restaurant and bar Associates, ensuring continual performance improvement
- Organize and conduct pre-shift departmental meetings and communicate pertinent information to Associates
- Deliver on targets, KPIs, schedules, policies, and procedures established by Senior Leadership; provide two-way communication and foster an ownership environment emphasizing motivation and teamwork
- Responsible for overall profit and loss statements; report on sales results and productivity to senior management
- Order and ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, timely ordering, reviewing, and restocking supplies
- Complete reports on production; fill out necessary requisitions and control distribution of supplies
- Conduct accurate month-end inventories and provide results to Food & Beverage Senior Leadership and the Senior Controller in a timely manner
- Handle member and guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Monitor and supervise the setup and maintenance of the bar and dining areas to ensure standards are met or exceeded
- Provide direct service to members and guests as needed, including serving, busing tables, and seating guests
- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and ensure the department adheres to all applicable policies
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or culinary school diploma in food service, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of Food and Beverage management or leadership experience
- Working knowledge of restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and reports generated by computer systems
- Strong budgetary analysis and financial management capabilities
- Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices, including knowledge of State beverage requirements
- Proven ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently and delegate multiple tasks effectively
- Member- and guest-oriented with a service-minded approach at all times
This position requires walking and standing for the majority of the working day. Must be able to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, grasping, writing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, and climbing as needed to fulfill job tasks.
