Responsibilities:

  • Serve in a safety-sensitive role, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of Service Department technicians to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise shop personnel and provide hands-on support for technical installations and repairs.
  • Train team members on new products, procedures, and safety standards; mentor and onboard new technicians.
  • Monitor work schedules, technician productivity, and labor utilization to optimize performance.
  • Track and analyze monthly departmental performance and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
  • Deliver end-to-end (cradle to grave) customer service, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for both employees and customers.
  • Perform as a subject matter expert within the shop, providing guidance on complex technical issues.
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes; conduct inspections to ensure repairs meet internal and manufacturer standards.
  • Lead regular shop meetings to communicate safety updates, policy changes, and product information.
  • Participate in off-site training programs to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
  • Cross-train in additional functions and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • RVIA/RVDA certification or Master-level certification preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification within one year.
  • Relevant education and/or hands-on experience within the RV or related service industry required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to develop effective work schedules and ensure coverage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Strong prioritization and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to prepare reports and evaluate operational performance.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues and drive successful outcomes.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide accurate and helpful information.
  • Proficiency in basic math and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using service management systems (e.g., dealership or shop management software) preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product installation, service operations, and departmental procedures.
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals, tools, and equipment, and work around mechanical hazards.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting (minimum 50 lbs), climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate and move vehicles or equipment of varying sizes as required.
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and follow management direction as needed.
