Outpatient Pharmacy - Pharmacy Inventory Technician at FirstHealth of the Carolinas – Pinehurst, North Carolina

We are looking for a detaildriven, reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team to directly manage our pharmacy’s inventory. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment, enjoys organizing systems, and plays a key part in ensuring patients receive the medications they need without delay. You’ll support pharmacists and technicians by managing inventory workflows that keep the pharmacy running smoothly.

• Maintain accurate inventory levels for prescription and over the counter medications
• Receive, unpack, and verify incoming pharmaceutical orders
• Rotate stock and help monitor expiration dates to ensure compliance and safety
• Process returns, recalls, and outdated medications according to regulations
• Track usage trends and communicate supply needs to pharmacy leadership
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas and ensure proper medication handling
• Assist with controlled substance inventory procedures following legal requirements
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to resolve inventory discrepancies
• Use pharmacy software systems to manage inventory activity

Required

• Registered as a technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous retail pharmacy experience

Prefferred

• Prior use of Rx30 software
• Certified as a pharmacy technician through the Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) preferred, but if not currently must be able to attain within 1 year of hire.
• Proven computer skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
