Job Description
Are you a proven operational leader passionate about making a meaningful impact in behavioral healthcare?
As a Program Administrator, you’ll oversee the overall operations of our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) serving youth and adolescents—ensuring quality, trauma-informed services, strong clinical outcomes, and a safe, structured environment for those in our care. This role requires a high level of operational oversight to support 24/7 operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and partner closely with clinical leadership to meet the complex needs of the population served.
You will be responsible for driving facility performance, ensuring financial stability, and upholding compliance with all company, state, and client expectations. In this role, you’ll provide strategic leadership, guide staff development, and build strong relationships with clients, families, and the community—while keeping the needs of patients at the center of every decision.
What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership for the facility by setting goals, establishing objectives, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Direct and evaluate all facility functions, including: Safety/Security, Facilities Management, PI/Risk/Compliance, Business Office & Administration, Clinical, Programs and Nursing.
- Build strong client relationships and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Develop, interpret, and enforce policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure program health, safety, and security standards are met for patients, employees, and property.
- Oversee fiscal management, including budget planning, monitoring, and financial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement to benefit the company, community, and patients.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree in mental health, healthcare administration, or related discipline (required)
- Master’s or doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, or administrative discipline (preferred)
Experience
- 3+ years in a management role, ideally with experience serving youth & adolescents with high-acuity behavioral health disorders (preferred)
- Experience managing 24/7 programs/facilities and crisis response, preferably with youth and adolescent patients (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience managing safety/security, milieu and clinical teams (preferred)
- Proven experience with accreditation standards (The Joint Commission and CMS)
Licensure/Certifications
- State psychologist license (preferred)
