Lead Staff Nurse/Nephrology at Saint Anthony Hospital – Chicago, Illinois

Overseeing nursing staff and hemodialysis technicians to ensure high quality of dialysis services and compliance with CMS guidelines and the clinic’s policies and procedure.

Provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care

Coordination of patient care between staff and an interdisciplinary team.

Assisting dialysis staff in making real-time clinical decisions to promote patient safety.

Ensuring timely medication adjustments and updating dialysis prescriptions per MD orders or clinic protocols.

Ensuring patient care plans are met and completed per CMS guidelines.

Participating in implementation and compliance with the clinic’s policies and procedures by performing required staff audits and trainings per hospital requirements and CMS guidelines.

Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Clinic Manager.

Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing

Associate’s in nursing; Bachelors preferred.

Current IL State RN licensure and CPR Certification

Team and customer service skills

Computer skills - windows and database systems

Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills

ACLS, NRP, PALS, EKG monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, airway and ventilator management as required per department.
