About the Role:

The Truck Driver position is critical to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various locations within the United States. This role involves operating commercial vehicles such as tractor trailers, dump trucks, and box trucks to deliver materials efficiently while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good working condition, performing routine inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. This position requires a strong commitment to compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to guarantee road safety and legal operation. Ultimately, the Truck Driver plays a vital role in supporting supply chain operations by delivering cargo reliably and professionally.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or CDL B
  • Proven experience in truck driving with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ability to perform routine truck maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Physical ability to handle the demands of long hours of driving and loading/unloading cargo.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating dump trucks, tractor trailers, and box trucks.
  • Familiarity with GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Additional endorsements such as hazardous materials (HazMat) or tanker endorsements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in logistics or supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial vehicles including tractor trailers, dump trucks, and box trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies to ensure safe driving practices and legal operation of commercial vehicles.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and address maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues during transit.

Skills:

The required skills such as truck driving and holding a CDL Class A or B license, are essential for safely operating various commercial vehicles on diverse routes.
