Job Description:
Position: High School Assistant Language Teacher (ALT)
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons.
  • Prepare and conduct quizzes, assess student progress, and provide feedback.
  • Evaluate students' assignments and participation.
  • Maintain a professional appearance (suit and tie required).
  • Communicate with Japanese teachers regarding lesson planning and student progress.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (required)
  • Native English speaker from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the Philippines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ALT teaching experience.
  • Basic Japanese communication skills to coordinate with school staff.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
  • Contract Period: April 2025 - March 2026
  • Workdays: Approx. 110 days per year (2-3 days per week)
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (7-hour workday, 1-hour lunch break)
  • Weekends off, no overtime!
  • Salary: ¥2,000 per hour / ¥14,000 per day
  • Monthly working hours: Approx. 60-70 hours
  • Transportation Allowance: Up to ¥1,000 per day (IC card)
