About This Position

Coordinator for Environmental Services Department

Job Overview:

The Department of Environmental Services seeks an office coordinator to provide a high level of administrative support to the department,

Reporting to the Main Hospital's EVS Senior Coordinator, the coordinator is primarily the first point of contact for staff, vendors and visitors,

Supports the leadership of the EVS Department by coordinating all related, staff and payroll management processes,

Demonstrated expertise in at least one specialty within the department,

Ensure accurate maintenance of office records and documents, keeping abreast of new policies and procedures,

Coordinated all office functions including, but not limited to staffing, training, personnel, supplies and equipment maintenance,

Qualifications:

Required:

Knowledge of computer programs Office, Excel, PowerPoint, & Word

Minimum of two years of related experience in a medical office, hospital or similar customer service environment

Strong communication skills

Ability to strategize and implement new processes for increased efficiency

Excellent verbal and written communication, professional communication skills

Preferred:

College Degree preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

Shift working: Monday-Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm

Day Shift

Full-Time, 37,

5 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

Maintains an organized and systematic filing system

Responsible for maintaining and posting staff schedules; e,g,

On and Off days, Paid-Time-Off, and Holidays

Communicates and implements department policies

Prepares and schedules department activities, meetings and events

Manages office supplies

Sustains Environment of Care Standard

Demonstrates the awareness of safety, security, life safety, emergency preparedness and utility and equipment management policies competencies

Adheres to Standard Precautions

Adheres to Safety and Infection Control policies

Attends mandatory in-service

Helps maintain a safe and clean patient/work environment

Follows incident reporting procedures

Ensures that appropriate standards of practice follow corporate compliance guidelines, and that results of accreditation surveys and licensure reviews by NJSDOH and JCAHO are satisfactory

Acts in an ethical and legal manner, and assures that all actions are in the best interest of both patients and the hospital.

Assumes responsibility for any other related issues as determined by the Director

Responds to all emergencies in the section or department according to established policy & procedures
