POSITION DESCRIPTION: Data & Processing Specialist

REPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

LOCATION: Omaha, NE office

JOB TYPE: Full Time, Exempt, Remote

POSITION PURPOSE

Position Purpose

The Data and Process Specialist will support RFG Logistics and its associated enterprise businesses by developing, analyzing, and maintaining operational and financial reports. This role drives improvements in business processes and technology, manages the company’s social media presence, and ensures the integrity of the company’s phone communication systems. While the company is based in Omaha, NE, this is a remote position reporting directly to the Executive Vice President.

Key Responsibilities

Operational and Financial Reporting

- Create, maintain, and analyze reports that measure operational and financial performance.

- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve business outcomes.

- Develop reporting tools and dashboards to support business decision-making.

Process and Technology Improvement

- Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline business processes.

- Evaluate and assist in the implementation of technology improvements.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training

- Develop, write, and deploy SOPs for critical business processes.

- Design and deliver training materials to ensure team members understand and follow updated procedures.

Social Media and Brand Presence

- Manage the company’s social media team and develop strategies to enhance the company’s online presence.

- Monitor engagement and implement initiatives to build a reputable and favorable brand image.

Communication Systems

- Monitor the company’s office and cell phone numbers to ensure they remain functional and unblocked by major U.S. phone carriers.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain caller ID reputation.

Executive Support

- Provide data, reports, and insights to Managers, Executives, and Officers as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a reporting or similar role, ideally in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong skills in creating and maintaining reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Proven ability to write SOPs and train employees on updated processes.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and online reputation management tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of phone systems and carrier relationships is a plus.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.

    • Logistics TMS experience required

  • Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

  • Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions
