Position Overview
The Teacher is responsible for providing education to KidsPeace students within a highly structured, therapeutic, and safe classroom environment. This role works collaboratively with the Mental Health Worker to offer academic instruction as well as counseling support within the classroom setting. The Teacher also participates in family sessions, discharge meetings, IEP meetings, and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive treatment planning and student progress.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or appropriate discipline required.
2. PA Teaching Certificate required.
3. Valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid Certification, and Certification of current KidsPeace approved crisis intervention and restraint methodology (Level I or II preferred, Observer status minimally required).
3. Experience with acute, emotionally challenged children or adolescent's preferred.
4. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
