- Provides leadership and direction through senior managers

- Is accountable for the performance and results of a major part of the organization (organization function or significant operational segment within a business unit, or an enterprise-wide organization sub-function)
- Develops and executes strategy to achieve key business objectives
- Decisions are guided by company and functional strategy and objectives

Essential Functions
- Directs all activities in the organization's contracts administration function.
- Oversees the preparation and administration of bids, proposals, negotiations, and contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements.
- Directs the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Manages and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provides guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals.
- Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations.
- Provides strategies on the negotiation of complex or high-value contracts.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
- Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 12-15 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Business or relevant degree preferred
- Additional certifications: NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Leadership skills. Contract compliance. Contract lifecycle management. Contract negotiation. Contracts management & administration. Contract review. Contracting terms and conditions. Contract management software. Capture Strategy and Management.
- Other: Government contracts experience preferred
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
