This role sits at the heart of large-scale software delivery systems, ensuring developers can build, test, and release code efficiently across global engineering environments. You will support critical CI/CD pipelines that power high-traffic digital products used by millions of end users. Acting as a frontline technical expert, you will troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and software supply chain challenges in real time. The role is highly dynamic, combining deep technical investigation with fast-paced operational support across Slack and ticketing systems. You will collaborate with engineering teams across time zones to resolve issues quickly and maintain high developer velocity. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position where reliability, precision, and communication directly influence engineering productivity at scale.
- Provide frontline support for CI/CD and build systems by triaging and resolving issues related to pipelines, dependencies, configuration, and deployments.
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex build and release problems across tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Docker, and Artifactory.
- Support software delivery workflows by diagnosing incidents, identifying root causes, and guiding engineers through resolution steps.
- Manage concurrent Slack-based conversations and ticket queues while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and prioritization.
- Handle escalation processes by performing thorough analysis, collecting relevant logs, and preparing detailed handoffs for downstream teams.
- Contribute to documentation by creating FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and reusable knowledge resources for recurring issues.
- Continuously improve build and release support processes to reduce friction and increase developer efficiency.
- 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, Build/Release Engineering, SRE, or software development roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Solid understanding of build systems like Maven or Gradle and software supply chain workflows.
- Proficiency with Git, Linux/Unix command line, and scripting (Python and/or Bash).
- Experience working with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory, Nexus) and deployment orchestration tools like Spinnaker.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to resolve or isolate complex technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support developers in real time.
