Database Engineer with SQL Server in India at Jobgether

This role is an excellent opportunity for a database professional with strong expertise in SQL Server and modern cloud data technologies. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of scalable data solutions that support enterprise applications and analytics. Working in a fully remote environment, you will leverage your knowledge of database management, ETL processes, and cloud platforms to deliver reliable, high-performance data infrastructure. The position offers exposure to Azure-based data engineering, Snowflake development, and complex data integration projects while collaborating with experienced technical teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions using SQL Server to support business applications and enterprise data requirements.
• Develop and optimize database structures, queries, stored procedures, and performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Build and maintain ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory to support data integration and transformation processes.
• Develop and support Snowflake-based data solutions, including API development and integration with enterprise systems.
• Work with both relational and NoSQL databases to manage, process, and optimize large volumes of business-critical data.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues, implement optimization strategies, and ensure data quality, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, deliver technical solutions, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of professional experience in database engineering, database administration, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, including database development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• At least 5 years of experience working with NoSQL database technologies.
• Proven experience developing and supporting Snowflake data platforms and Snowflake API integrations.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL processes using Azure Data Factory.
• Solid understanding of database architecture, data integration, cloud data platforms, and enterprise data management best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize complex database environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote, project-driven environment.
