About the Role:

The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in the procurement of vehicles for our organization, ensuring that we acquire high-quality vehicles that meet our operational needs and budgetary constraints. This position involves conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiating favorable terms to secure the best deals. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with vendors and monitoring market trends to make informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with various departments to understand their vehicle requirements and ensure timely delivery. Ultimately, the Customer Service Representative contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of our fleet management by ensuring that we have the right vehicles at the right time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in customer service, purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with fleet management and a strong understanding of vehicle types, specifications, and operational requirements
  • Familiarity with automotive market trends, supplier dynamics, and pricing strategies
  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate potential vehicle suppliers and their offerings.
  • Negotiate with customers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms on vehicle purchases.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand vehicle needs, operational procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance to support strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle purchases, supplier interactions, and related documentation.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer service inquiries, providing general business information, inventory details, and guidance on company procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process and contribute to cost-saving strategies.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to evaluate market data and supplier offerings, enabling informed and strategic purchasing decisions. Proven negotiation abilities are essential for securing favorable terms in vehicle procurement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for effective collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Proficiency in procurement software and tools is expected for maintaining accurate purchasing records and streamlining supplier communication. Experience or familiarity with fleet management is preferred and will support alignment with organizational vehicle needs. Additionally, the role involves customer service responsibilities, including handling inquiries about the business and part inventory, requiring a helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive approach.
