This role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, product delivery, and Agile execution, focusing on building and optimizing solutions that support medical cost containment and claims-related workflows. You will act as the key driver of product backlog prioritization and execution, ensuring that business needs are translated into clear, actionable technical requirements. Working closely with engineering, QA, compliance, and operations teams, you will help shape product direction while ensuring delivery stays aligned with regulatory and operational expectations. The role requires strong analytical thinking, deep familiarity with Agile practices, and hands-on expertise in JIRA-driven delivery management. You will also play a central role in improving efficiency through workflow optimization and process automation. This is a highly collaborative and impact-driven position within a fast-paced healthcare technology environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage the product backlog in JIRA, prioritizing features, enhancements, and defects based on business value, operational needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria to guide engineering, QA, and delivery teams through sprint execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including operations, compliance, engineering, QA, and leadership to gather, refine, and document product requirements.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective delivery cycles.
  • Define and maintain product roadmaps and release plans aligned with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.
  • Monitor delivery progress, risks, and performance metrics, providing transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization, automation, and process improvements within healthcare cost containment operations.
Requirements:
  • 3–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with JIRA, including backlog management, workflows, dashboards, reporting, and sprint tracking.
  • Proven ability to write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that enable successful engineering and QA execution.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and end-to-end product delivery lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Experience working in healthcare, insurance, claims processing, or regulated operational environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical cost containment or out-of-network (OON) pricing workflows is a strong plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary in the range of $90,000–$110,000 USD
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options
  • Paid time off (PTO), disability leave, and company holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support services
  • Remote work flexibility within the United States
  • Opportunity to work in a specialized healthcare technology environment
