Job Description: About 3E:

3E is a mission-driven company dedicated to creating a safer and more sustainable world. We offer award-winning regulatory intelligence and AI solutions to help organizations protect people and products. With over 35 years of experience and a global presence, we empower our customers with innovative compliance solutions.

You will get to work at a company that combines startup agility with the stability of an industry leader. Partner with enterprise customers and global experts to advance environmental safety and solve complex data science challenges.

Join us and make an impact!

At 3E, we're building the next generation of trusted AI. As AI transforms how software is developed, deployed, and used, we're reimagining security, not as a gatekeeper, but as an enabler of innovation.

We're looking for an AI Security & Trust Engineering Manager to help operationalize trust across the company by partnering with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, AI, and Compliance teams to embed scalable security, governance, and trust into the systems that power our business. Rather than leading through hierarchy, you'll lead through influence, building alignment, enabling teams, and creating automated, scalable solutions that make secure engineering the easiest path forward.

This is a unique opportunity to shape enterprise AI governance and security practices, influence technology strategy across the organization, and work with emerging technologies that are redefining the future of AI. You'll become a trusted partner across our technology teams, helping improve operational efficiency, reduce manual work through automation, and strengthen our overall security and trust posture.

If you're energized by solving complex problems, embracing emerging technologies, and helping organizations adopt AI responsibly and securely, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As the AI Security & Trust Engineering Manager, you'll create and lead a virtual Trust Engineering capability across 3E.

Working alongside Engineering, AI, Product, Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, Digital Workplace, HR, and Legal teams, you'll ensure trust becomes an integrated part of how we build—not an afterthought.

You will:

  • Lead cross-functional AI Security & Trust Engineering initiatives through influence, collaboration, and operational excellence.

  • Translate security and trust strategy into clear execution plans, measurable outcomes, and shared ownership models.

  • Partner with engineering teams to embed trust, security, and governance into AI-enabled products, platforms, and delivery workflows.

  • Coach and mentor engineers on modern trust engineering practices, secure AI development, automation, continuous assurance, and scalable security controls.

  • Replace manual processes with automated, repeatable, and resilient trust mechanisms.

  • Drive operational excellence through documentation, reusable platforms, and engineering best practices.

  • Establish meaningful metrics, operational feedback loops, and leading indicators that improve both security posture and engineering effectiveness.

  • Help operationalize AI governance and customer trust initiatives across the organization.

  • Influence stakeholders across multiple teams to remove friction, improve execution, and reduce organizational risk.

What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, AI engineering, cloud engineering, or related technical disciplines.

  • 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or influencing engineers in matrixed or cross-functional environments.

  • Strong understanding of modern trust engineering, AI security, automation, continuous assurance, system-enforced controls, and scalable risk reduction.

  • Experience delivering complex technical initiatives by influencing stakeholders across multiple teams.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

  • A passion for using AI to solve meaningful business problems—not simply as a productivity tool.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building AI-enabled workflows, intelligent automation, AI agents, or enterprise AI platforms.

  • Experience leading engineering initiatives within SaaS, cloud-native, platform, or highly automated environments.

  • Background in infrastructure or platform engineering before moving into security.

  • Experience supporting governance, compliance, or customer trust initiatives such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or ISO 42001.

  • Experience building engineering metrics, governance models, and operational frameworks that improve predictability and shared ownership.

  • Industry certifications are welcome but not required.
