The Software Engineer, AI Platform will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure and platform capabilities that support intelligent applications. The role requires strong ownership, technical problem-solving, and close collaboration with engineering and business teams to deliver reliable AI solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation workflows that support AI-powered applications.
- Develop custom connectors and integrations between internal platforms, services, and external APIs.
- Build and operate enterprise knowledge systems, including similarity search solutions, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines supporting RAG and agent-based applications.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of AI automation and workflow systems.
- Implement monitoring solutions, including observability, logging, alerting, and business metrics to track system health and optimize performance.
- Contribute to platform tooling using traditional software development approaches and workflow automation technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code supported by testing practices and technical documentation.
- Support the continuous improvement of AI platform capabilities through experimentation, iteration, and engineering best practices.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a software engineer with experience building production-grade systems and an interest in applying modern AI technologies to real-world applications. You should have strong backend development skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to balance rapid innovation with long-term system reliability.
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or C#.
- Experience designing, developing, and operating production-grade services, integrations, or automation systems.
- Solid understanding of modern AI system concepts, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and LLM-based tools.
- Practical experience with vector databases, similarity search, and retrieval optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Strong understanding of backend testing, observability, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code automation platforms or willingness to learn new automation technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment while maintaining quality and maintainability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both engineering and business teams.
