PACS Technician in Anniston, Alabama at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center

Reports to the Admin Manager. Receives/retrieves/releases films and/or CD, in accordance with department policy, to patients, physicians, or outside services needing copies of patient studies. Handles phone for requests for patient information from physicians or other health care professionals. Verifies patient information. Makes computer entries and retrieves information from PACS and HBO systems. Interfaces and communicates to hospital personnel, medical staff, patients, families, attorneys, visitors and other requesting agencies. Delivers reports electronically or physically to physician offices and the patient charts in the hospital on a daily basis.

Maintains safe environment in the waiting are and the reception desk.
Reassures parent/caregivers/patients.
Maintain patient confidentiality.

High School diploma or GED required.

Basic computer skills with Microsoft office and Microsoft Windows skills.
