Job Description
About Kitchen Food Company
Kitchen Food Company is a leading Australian manufacturer of high-quality food products, trusted by customers nationwide. Built on a foundation of excellence, innovation, and sustainable practice, we're proud of what we make — and even prouder of the people who make it happen. Join a close-knit, hardworking team where your contribution genuinely matters.
About the role
- We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Storeman to keep our warehouse and loading dock running smoothly. You'll be at the heart of our operation — receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, keeping stock accurate, and making sure everything moves efficiently and safely from dock to shelf. You'll also lend a hand on the production floor from time to time, giving you variety and the chance to build broader skills across the business.
- If you take pride in a tidy warehouse, enjoy staying active, and like knowing your work directly keeps things running — this is a great fit.
What you'll do
- Manage the flow of goods through the warehouse — receiving and dispatching orders efficiently and on time
- Load and unload deliveries, stock inventory, and keep accurate records of goods received and dispatched
- Inspect, clean, and maintain dock and warehouse equipment and vehicles, reporting any issues promptly
- Safely transport food, equipment, materials, and supplies around site
- Coordinate with suppliers' drivers on arrival, following standard procedures
- Check incoming stock for correct specifications, quantity, and quality
- Rotate perishable goods and store items correctly in freezers, fridges, and warehouse locations
- Take part in regular stocktakes to verify inventory and flag discrepancies
- Report any safety or food safety issues promptly
- Keep the loading dock clean and well organised
- Support the production team as needed, operating food production machinery in line with GMP and food safety standards
What you'll bring
- A current forklift licence (essential)
- Clear, confident communication skills
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and keep pace in a busy, fast-moving environment
- A strong work ethic and genuine reliability
- Sharp attention to detail and a real team-player attitude
Why Join Kitchen Food Company?
- Stable, hands-on role with variety across warehouse and production
- Be part of a supportive team that values safety, quality, and each other
- Opportunity to build broader food manufacturing experience and grow your skills
