The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pool Cleaner to support the cleanliness and presentation of our 45+ geothermal pools in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This role is essential to maintaining water clarity, deck cleanliness, and overall pool area sanitation to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience.

The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an outdoor environment while upholding high cleanliness standards in a luxury wellness setting.

Your Future Career

Pool Cleaning & Water Maintenance

• Skim, vacuum, and brush pool surfaces to maintain water clarity and cleanliness.
• Remove debris from pools, gutters, and surrounding areas regularly.
• Assist with routine water testing and report irregular readings to Pool Engineering leadership.
• Support chemical adjustments as directed by certified personnel.
• Maintain pool decks free of standing water, debris, and hazards.

Deck & Surrounding Area Maintenance

• Clean and sanitize pool decks, walkways, railings, and seating areas.
• Pressure wash designated areas as scheduled.
• Remove trash and used towels to maintain a polished environment.
• Ensure drains and overflow systems remain clear and functional.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or maintenance needs promptly.
• Support emergency response procedures as directed.

Operational Support

• Assist Pool Engineering and Pool Attendant teams during peak periods.
• Support opening and closing pool procedures.
• Maintain organized storage areas for pool equipment and cleaning tools.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall pool operations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous pool maintenance, facilities, or custodial experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pool cleaning tools and equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and written instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry items up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in sun, humidity, and varying temperatures.
• Exposure to water, pool chemicals, cleaning agents, and wet surfaces.
• Ability to operate pool cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
