Job Description
Job Overview:
The role of the Junior Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney requires a strong interest in advocating for injured clients and managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution. This role will work closely with senior attorneys and clients in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and other negligence claims
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement documents
Take and defend depositions, including those of parties, witnesses, and experts
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Evaluate cases for liability, damages, and value
Communicate effectively with clients regarding case strategy and progress
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and defense counsel
Ensure timely filing of documents and maintain case deadlines
Maintain accurate case records and expenses in case management systems
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admitted to and in good standing with the Georgia State Bar. Additional bar licensure a plus.
[1–3+] years of personal injury litigation experience preferred; trial experience is a plus
Strong understanding of civil procedure and rules of evidence
Excellent oral advocacy, legal writing, and negotiation skills
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Client-focused mindset and compassionate approach to injured clients
Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw) and case management software (e.g., Needles, Clio, Filevine)
