About the Role:

The Fork Lift Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This position is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively to load, unload, and transport goods. The role requires close attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and to ensure that materials are handled in compliance with safety regulations. The Fork Lift Material Handler contributes to the overall productivity of the supply chain by supporting timely order fulfillment and minimizing delays. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving logistical challenges while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift operator certification or license as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.
  • Additional certifications in material handling or safety training.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inventory management by accurately recording material movements and conducting periodic stock counts.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
