Executive Director, Specialty Vision Products

This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and driving the global strategy, commercial execution, and overall performance of a specialized vision care portfolio focused on advanced and custom eye health solutions. You will oversee end-to-end business operations, including marketing, sales, professional engagement, and customer strategy, ensuring strong alignment across global and regional teams. The role requires deep commercial expertise, strong P&L ownership, and the ability to translate market insights into scalable growth strategies. You will work closely with R&D, operations, and regional leadership to shape innovation pipelines and bring new products successfully to market. This is a high-impact position that combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and executive leadership in a highly specialized healthcare environment. You will play a key role in advancing global eye health solutions while strengthening partnerships with eye care professionals worldwide.

Accountabilities:
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the Specialty Vision Products portfolio, ensuring revenue growth, margin optimization, and disciplined financial performance.
  • Define and execute the multi-year global or regional strategy for the specialty vision portfolio in alignment with broader vision care objectives.
  • Lead commercialization strategy, including marketing, sales, pricing, distribution, and go-to-market execution across multiple markets.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management and innovation strategy, ensuring successful development and launch of new specialty vision solutions.
  • Partner closely with R&D, operations, and regional teams to ensure seamless product development, launch execution, and market adoption.
  • Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and professional affairs, fostering accountability and talent development.
  • Establish performance metrics, forecasting processes, and investment strategies to support long-term business growth.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in medical devices, vision care, ophthalmic products, or related healthcare industries.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial organizations with full P&L ownership.
  • Strong expertise in sales, marketing, and global go-to-market strategy within specialty or healthcare-driven markets.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams in complex environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Experience in product launches, portfolio commercialization, and lifecycle management is highly preferred.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from approximately $275,000 to $325,000 depending on experience and location.
