- Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for building and enhancing payment and digital asset infrastructure products, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to define priorities, translate business objectives into technical solutions, and ensure successful roadmap execution.
- Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy for highly available, scalable, and secure API-driven platforms.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of integrations with external financial institutions, exchanges, and technology partners, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational reliability.
- Guide technical planning, system design, and implementation efforts to ensure product requirements are effectively translated into robust engineering solutions.
- Partner with engineering leadership to advance platform capabilities, improve development processes, and align long-term technology investments with organizational goals.
- Recruit, coach, and develop engineering talent while supporting career growth, performance management, and succession planning.
- Promote engineering best practices, including software quality standards, testing strategies, observability, security, and operational excellence.
- Maintain hands-on involvement through code reviews, technical discussions, and strategic contributions to key platform initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, operations, compliance, and external partners to deliver impactful customer-focused solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in designing and delivering API-based platforms and enterprise integrations.
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, including leadership of senior, staff, or principal-level engineers.
- Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building scalable backend services in production environments.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and React for frontend development and cross-functional collaboration.
- Deep understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technologies, digital asset ecosystems, and common security practices related to wallets, key management, and transaction processing.
- Proven experience integrating with third-party financial services, exchanges, brokerages, or fintech platforms through APIs, WebSockets, or other communication protocols.
- Expertise in designing and operating distributed systems that process high transaction volumes while maintaining reliability, performance, and security.
- Strong knowledge of financial technology, compliance considerations, digital asset custody, data privacy, and risk management practices.
- Demonstrated success defining technical strategy, influencing architecture decisions, and delivering complex, high-availability systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, partners, executives, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers, managing distributed teams, and balancing technical excellence with business objectives.
