Job Description
About the Job
Homewise's Mortgage Loan Closer is the final checkpoint between a loan approval and a customer walking out of a title office with the keys to their new home. Reporting to the Senior Director of Lending, you're the person who makes sure every detail of a loan closing is accurate and complete before money is released.
Your work has a clear cadence: review closing documents for accuracy and compliance, coordinate with title companies to keep funding on schedule, then handle the post-closing steps that get the loan officially recorded and delivered. You'll work independently, but in close partnership with Home Purchase Advisors, Real Estate Sales, Real Estate Development, and Lending, so customers experience a single, seamless team.
This role contributes directly to Homewise's monthly volume goals and is measured on a clear standard: complete, on-time closings, with zero exceptions on investor or regulatory requirements.

- Partnering with title companies to coordinate on-time funding and resolve issues.
- Ensuring all required original documentation is received from the title company after closing.
- Uploading closed first mortgage loans to FNMA and delivering notes before lock expiration.
- Preparing and uploading all closing documents to Homewise's system of record.
- Tracking and reconciling trailing documentation.
- Completing final closeout of all systems once funding is complete.
- Using technology to manage your pipeline and serve customers.
- Collaborating internal and external stakeholders to deliver a smooth experience for every client.
- Ensuring accuracy & compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
