Medical Information Lead

You will be responsible for translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, accurate, and impactful medical information that supports healthcare professionals, patients, and payers. Acting as a key scientific authority, you will ensure the quality and consistency of medical content across multiple channels and therapeutic areas. The position offers strong cross-functional exposure, working closely with medical affairs, content strategy, and contact center teams. You will also contribute to training, process improvements, and the evolution of medical information capabilities across the organization.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the development, review, and oversight of high-quality medical information content that ensures scientific rigor, balance, and compliance across multiple channels. You will serve as a therapeutic area expert, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders with accurate and actionable scientific insights.

  • Create, review, and edit medical content for HCPs, patients, and payers, including standard and complex medical information responses
  • Author and maintain scientifically accurate MI responses by analyzing and summarizing complex clinical literature
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned therapeutic areas, maintaining deep scientific and product knowledge
  • Review field medical and derivative materials to ensure alignment with approved medical information content and compliance standards
  • Provide medical review input for scientific and promotional materials in collaboration with medical strategy and compliance teams
  • Manage and maintain a robust MI response database, including launch readiness and content lifecycle management
  • Conduct ongoing literature surveillance and synthesize scientific findings into structured, usable formats
  • Support escalated medical and access-related inquiries from contact centers with clinical guidance
  • Contribute to training initiatives, content development, and cross-functional medical communication projects
  • Identify trends in medical inquiries and recommend the development of new standard responses and resources
Requirements

This role requires advanced scientific training and proven experience in medical communications or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. You should be highly skilled in interpreting clinical literature and translating complex data into clear, compliant medical content.

  • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of experience in medical information, medical communications, or medical affairs
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and clinical data
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with attention to scientific accuracy and clarity
  • Experience working cross-functionally in regulated healthcare or life sciences environments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team-based environments
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
  • Comfort participating in cross-functional meetings and supporting training or content initiatives
