This is a high-impact strategic finance leadership role within a fast-scaling, mission-driven healthcare organization focused on transforming care for patients with neurodegenerative diseases. You will serve as a key financial architect, shaping long-term planning, forecasting, and capital strategy across a complex, multi-stream operating model that includes clinical care delivery, research initiatives, and grant-funded programs. Working directly with senior leadership, you will translate ambitious growth initiatives into rigorous financial frameworks that guide decision-making at the highest level. This role blends advanced financial modeling, strategic FP&A, and cross-functional partnership in a highly dynamic environment. It is ideal for a builder mindset finance leader who thrives in ambiguity and wants to influence both operational execution and long-term enterprise direction. You will play a central role in ensuring financial clarity, scalability, and sustainability as the organization expands nationally.
In this role, you will own enterprise-level financial planning, forecasting, and strategic modeling to support a complex and evolving healthcare business.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate business pipelines, new initiatives, and long-term scenario planning.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and integrate new strategic initiatives into rolling forecasts and enterprise planning cycles.
- Partner cross-functionally with revenue operations and accounting teams to align financial assumptions, performance tracking, and budget vs. actual analysis.
- Translate complex healthcare delivery, value-based care, clinical trials, and grant-funded programs into structured financial frameworks.
- Support executive leadership and the CFO in preparing board materials, investor updates, and strategic financial insights.
- Own and refine unit economics and operational metrics to inform data-driven strategic decisions.
- Evaluate and recommend FP&A tools and systems to enhance scalability beyond current financial infrastructure.
This role requires a seasoned finance professional with strong technical modeling skills, strategic thinking ability, and experience operating in fast-paced, complex environments.
- 7–8+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles, ideally in startups, healthcare, or investment-backed environments.
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel/Google Sheets expertise with the ability to build complex, dynamic models from scratch.
- Strong ability to analyze ambiguous data sets and translate them into structured financial insights.
- Experience working with multi-stream revenue models, healthcare systems, or similarly complex business structures is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with value-based care, clinical operations, grant funding, or life sciences is a plus.
- Experience working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, with exposure to FP&A or ERP tools preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in high-growth, fast-changing environments with strong autonomy and ownership mindset.
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and impact level.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employees and families.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life insurance and disability coverage.
- Fully remote work environment with home office support stipend.
- Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
- Occasional travel to headquarters in Chicago for team collaboration.
