We are seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer 3 to join our Engineering team in Duluth, Georgia. This role offers the opportunity to work on the development, certification, integration, and support of advanced avionics systems while collaborating with software, hardware, safety, certification, and program teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Beyond technical execution, this position provides opportunities to lead systems engineering activities, mentor junior engineers, influence product direction, and contribute to technologies that operate in demanding real-world flight environments.
What You'll DoLead systems engineering activities for avionics product enhancements and new product development initiatives
Define, manage, and verify system requirements while ensuring alignment across hardware, software, database, and certification activities
Participate in product architecture, development planning, integration, and certification strategies
Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, validation, and verification activities in laboratory and aircraft environments
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges and support program milestones
Support product compliance efforts with aerospace regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements
Contribute to design reviews, milestone presentations, and technical decision-making activities
Investigate product issues, evaluate system impacts, and help drive effective technical solutions
Support customer-facing technical discussions, field support activities, and product improvement initiatives
Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
4+ years of systems engineering or related aerospace engineering experience
Strong understanding of systems development principles, requirements management, and product lifecycle processes
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop structured solutions
Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage priorities independently while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with aerospace certification concepts, avionics systems, or regulated product development environments is highly valued
Experience with programming, modeling, simulation, or engineering analysis tools is beneficial
Passion for aviation, technology, and continuous learning
Work on advanced avionics systems used by pilots and operators around the world
Participate in the complete product lifecycle from concept through certification and deployment

This role is based onsite in Duluth, Georgia due to the hands-on nature of avionics systems development, product integration, laboratory testing, aircraft testing, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
