General Description of Duties: The primary duty of this position is the responsibility for the direct training of clients working at community job sites. Duties include but are not limited to;

  • Provide one-on-one job coaching services to clients to ensure their placement is maintained.
  • Teach the client how to complete all aspects of their job in the community and assist with social skills training appropriate to the work site.
  • Build positive relationships with key managements, supervisory and co-worker personnel at each employment site to promote normalized integration of the client into the company environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of training, fading plans and task analysis.
  • Participate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to develop client budgets, goals/objectives, transportation supports and job maintenance strategies.
  • Track data as assigned through the ISP process.
  • Assess the progress the client is making towards independence in their job
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay:

Job type: Full-Time | Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. | Rotate weekends with other Job Coaches (Schedule Varies based on Client)

Pay: $17.50 per hour.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required with post high school or college preferred.
  • One (1) year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms.

Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must have effective verbal communication and writing skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift as well as support 70-100 lbs. occasionally. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
