PURPOSE: To ensure tunnels, dryers and conveyors run at top efficiency

DUTIES: Resolve computer alarms, circle the two tunnel systems, keep linen picked up off floor, clean CBW and tanks, inspect and clean lint collectors and report any deficiencies to maintenance.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The CBW operator starts and stops the water pumps, tunnel washer, press, shuttle, dryers and conveyors. They monitor and resolve any alarms from the tunnel computer, washex computer and E-Tech computer. Keep the entire CBW area clean of linen and trash, load ragged linen from carts into dryer, clean lint filters daily, clean blower wheels, clean front and rear dryer duct cleanouts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to speak, read and write the English language
  • Have a good understanding of computer-based programming
  • Be able to understand & reset equipment alarms.
  • Be able to identify linen types
  • Be able to drive a scissors lift safely
  • Be able to work safely around automated equipment
  • Provide own transportation to and from work
  • Be able to work late or early, if required
  • Be on time
  • Have good attendance
  • Be able to work 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday - Friday with potential overtime on a Saturday.
