Job Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, and ensures the accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and components used in the production of custom truck bodies and related equipment. The role requires adherence to safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Key Responsibilities
1. Receiving & Material Handling
- Receive incoming materials, parts, and equipment; verify quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Unload deliveries safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Label and stage materials for proper storage or immediate use.
- Any other duties assigned.
2. Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory systems.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervision of shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure materials are stored in designated locations to promote efficiency and organization.
3. Warehouse Organization/Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure materials are accessible for production teams and staged according to workflow needs.
- Pull and stage materials for production jobs based on work orders.
- Deliver materials to production lines, fabrication areas, or assembly teams as needed.
- Return unused materials to proper inventory locations.
4. Shipping & Logistics
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Load trucks efficiently to ensure safe and damage-free transport.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and internal teams to meet delivery deadlines.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections and report any equipment issues.
- Follow all safety procedures applicable to warehouse and manufacturing operations.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn forklift operation.
- Basic computer skills (ERP or inventory systems preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environments (custom equipment, truck bodies, or fabrication).
- Forklift certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and more with assistance.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments (heat/cold exposure).
- Ability to work around machinery, tools, and moving equipment safely.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
- Requires adherence to strict safety standards and operational procedures.

Work Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- As required based on production and shipping demands.
