The Department of Psychology at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach the following undergraduate courses during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Spring 2027
PSYC BC Developmental Psychology Laboratory - 2 sections. This course involves experiments related to cognitive, linguistic, perceptual, motor, social, affective, and personality development from infancy to adolescence. The course offers an opportunity for direct observation of children; major areas of research at each level of development are covered.
PSYC BC2114 Cognitive Psychology Laboratory - 1 section. In this course students conduct experiments related to selected topics illustrating the methods, findings, and theories of contemporary cognitive psychology. Topics include attention, memory, categorization, perception, and decision making. Special topics include neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience.
Pay Rate: $9,240 per course.
Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.

Required Qualifications
Terminal degree in a related discipline, with all requirements for the degree completed by the time of hiring offer.
