This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chef de projet – Consultant en génie électrique based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex energy consulting projects that support the development, financing, and execution of power generation initiatives.
The position combines technical expertise, project leadership, and strategic advisory responsibilities across the energy sector.
You will collaborate with developers, utilities, investors, legal advisors, and financial stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
The role requires managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing technical deliverables, and ensuring projects meet client objectives.
You will contribute to the growth of innovative energy solutions across technologies such as solar, battery storage, wind, and thermal generation.
This remote position provides the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States while occasionally engaging with clients and project sites.

Accountabilities:

The role is responsible for managing consulting engagements from planning through delivery, ensuring technical excellence, strong client relationships, and successful project outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project execution plans aligned with client objectives, technical requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Reviewing and approving project deliverables, including engineering reports, technical studies, and consulting analyses.
  • Leading project teams by providing clear direction, technical guidance, and mentorship to engineers and consultants.
  • Managing project scope, schedules, resources, and financial performance to ensure delivery within established expectations.
  • Supporting business development activities by preparing proposals, defining project approaches, and contributing to client engagement strategies.
  • Building team capabilities through coaching, knowledge sharing, and professional development support.
  • Managing multiple consulting projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and occasional travel to project locations or offices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in energy engineering, consulting, and project leadership, with the ability to manage complex technical initiatives and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or another relevant engineering, finance, or economics discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in the energy industry, including experience supporting power generation project development and execution.
  • Experience serving as an owner’s engineer, independent engineer, and/or design engineer for energy generation projects.
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project activities.
  • Technical knowledge across multiple generation technologies, including solar, battery energy storage, wind, and thermal systems.
  • Experience conducting feasibility studies and evaluating energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management, communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience with long-term power supply and transmission planning projects is a plus.
  • Experience with project finance, financial modeling, power purchase agreements, asset transfer agreements, or EPC contracts is preferred.
  • Prior consulting experience is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel occasionally for client and project requirements.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
