Production Lead - 2nd Shift in Boone, Iowa at TIG, The Integration Group

Job Summary

The Production Lead will serve as the liaison between frontline production employees and supervision/management, ensuring that daily operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned work area to meet production goals related to output, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records, including counts, scrap, warehouse placement, and process deviations.
• Provide daily direction, support, and coaching to production team members.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff during the shift; address questions, resolve minor issues, and communicate updates from supervisors or managers.
• Lead shift changeovers and communicate key information to incoming/outgoing shifts.
• Foster a positive team environment that encourages accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Promote a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
• Immediately report any safety incidents, hazards, or near misses to the appropriate personnel.
• Encourage and model safe behaviors among team members.

Schedule and Hours:

2nd Shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:30pm - 1:00am

Requirements

• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and production specifications.
• Ability to use a pallet jack, forklift, and other basic warehouse equipment.
