McConway and Torley is hiring a Foundry Supervisor. In this position you will manage the day-to-day activities of the core room and/or the mold line, including inventory and equipment. You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently.
Location: Lawrenceville, PA
Shift: 12pm – 8pm
Key responsibilities include:
- Hire, train, and coach machine operators and mold assemblers
- Hold employees accountable for established policies and processes
- Support operators and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting
- Complete required safety, quality, and production paperwork for the shift
- Communicate issues and escalate them to management as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
- Inspect and verify pattern and core box work to confirm tooling accuracy
- Read and interpret foundry schedules to plan daily core room and/or mold line operations
- Partner with safety and process engineering to develop and maintain standard work procedures
- Work with design and engineering to improve tooling and processes
- Implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Coordinate with tooling and engineering to maintain accurate inventory of critical pattern and core box maintenance supplies
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years in tooling maintenance or related manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Foundry experience is a plus
- Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
- Strong communication skills
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Associate’s degree or applicable related work experience
Working Conditions:
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

- Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
- Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned
