Position Summary
Supervise Fort Knox Ammunition Supply Point operations for the receipt, storage, and issue of ammunition, ammunition components, and ammunition related materiel. The supervisor is the hand receipt holder for buildings and equipment within the ASP.
Essential Functions of the Position
· Oversee and manage the day to day operations of ASP in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies and SOPs
· Associated functions include inspection, stock accounting, requisition, stock control, warehousing, salvage, inventory, customer turn‐ in, packaging and shipment, blocking and bracing, policing and securing magazines safety, fire mitigation and fire prevention, routine maintenance of real property, demilitarization (DEMIL) of selected ammunition residue, components, and inert and dummy ammunition items and process ATR's
· Provide a safe working environment for all personnel
· Ensure employees are trained and proficient in their assigned duties
· Supervise as well as coordinates activities of workers engaged in receipt, accountability, inspection, storage, issue and transportation of ammunition and ammunition components
· Interpret and enforce safety regulations
· Forecast workload and manpower to ensure quality service is provided to the customer
· Provide proper ammunition and explosives storage and safety IAW applicable regulations, field manuals and pamphlets
· Set priorities and daily assignments for all assigned employees
· Train workers in operation of support equipment
· Direct inspection and surveillance of processed or stored munitions
· Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
The ASP Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Ammunition Supply Services including, but not limited to, personnel and mission execution.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ammunition Supply experience required.
- Possess a Valid Drivers' License
Security Requirements:
· Must be a US Citizen.
· Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
