Job Description

Primary Function: 

Provide overall supervision and direction of warehouse operations.  Supports all administrative aspects of warehouse and supervises all warehouse employees. 

The Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for managing all efforts related to shipping, receiving, and warehousing. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and consistent records management to ensure compliance and documentation requirements are met.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for supervising and schedulingwarehouseteam members.  
  • Provides new team member safety orientation and documented training
  • Perform all required data entry/documentation management, including, but not limitedtotruckinspection documents,sealtracking log, COA’s,purchase order and sales orderdocuments,productinspection forms- per BRC and HACCP requirements.
  • Record all pallet and material movements in the system to reflectreal-time inventory.
  • Monitor and use Power BIreports to manage BIUB dates, material needs, andvendorperformance.
  • Receiving and Quality Control: documenting received purchase orders per BRC requirements,recordingitem numbers,lot numbers, quantities,expirationdatesand location storage accurately andin a timely manner.
  • Partner withQAteam toassistin evaluating all quarantined materials- assist with data entry, LOD’s, disposal, filing claims, and otherduties asassigned.
  • Superviseand train employees toidentifyandeliminatewaste.
  • Ensureaccurateand efficient material handling and flow to include lot-control and FEFO rotation.
  • Coordinate product issue resolution with QA, materialhandlersandpurchasing.
  • Foster a work climate of professional communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment and all safety policies are followed.
  • Review and update allwarehouseSOP’s annually  
  • Manage all small package shipment processing/pick & packfor OTIF delivery to customers.
  • Manage cycle countprocessaccurately andin accordance withdocumented company procedures.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure food safety standards are met or exceeded 
  • Maintains attendance and personnel records. 
  • Processes and approves warehouse timecards. Enforce compliance with lunch and break regulations. Ensure all OT is approved and schedule is updated inADPsystem.  

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience inwarehouse foodmanufacturing with at least two years supervisory experience or equivalent preferred.  
  •  Experience in continuous improvementmethodology;including LEAN.
  • Productive team leader with great interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, including writing,speakingand active listening.
  • Effective problem-solving and strategic planning abilities alongside exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Proficient computer skillsto includewarehouse specific software and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand forlong periodsof time.
  • Ability to receive andmaintainlicenses for all forklift and all pit equipment.
  • Must work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • ERP knowledge required along with PC knowledge (word processing, database, and spreadsheet).
