Job Description

Per Diem Home Health Speech Therapist position located in the Inland Empire.
Per Diem position, paid per visit.

Office location: 3633 Inland Empire Blvd Ste 550 Ontario, CA 91764
HR orientation and training will be completed in person.

Job Summary
The Speech Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This role involves developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
Reports to: Director of Patient Care Services
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' communication abilities and develop customized treatment plans.
2. Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and modalities.
3. Assess and treat speech disorders, such as articulation, fluency, resonance, and voice disorders.
4. Assist patients in improving their language skills, including comprehension, expression, reading, and writing.
5. Address swallowing and feeding difficulties through therapeutic interventions.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and educators to ensure cohesive and integrated care.
7. Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers about communication disorders, therapy techniques, and home-based exercises.
8. Keep detailed and organized records of patient assessments, progress, and treatment plans.
9. Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and advancements in the field of speech therapy through continuous professional development.
10. Maintain equipment and materials used in therapy sessions.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
1. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
3. Knowledge of various speech therapy techniques and tools.
4. Proficiency in a second language.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
7. Compassion and patience with clients.
8. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
9. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
10. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is highly desirable.
11. Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various speech and language disorders.
12. Knowledge of a wide range of therapy techniques, interventions, and equipment.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
15. Ability to adapt to the individual needs and preferences of patients.
16. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
17. Proficient computer skills to document therapy sessions and utilize therapy software.

Essential Physical Tasks: May occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
