DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly or annual government contract invoices in accordance with contract terms and deadlines. Verify contract specific cost allocations and review GL coding for accuracy, correcting or removing unallowable expenses as needed. Collaborate within Finance and with other departments to correct coding of both revenue and expense. Ensure all appropriate backing documentation for each invoice is in place.Process entries to record revenue in the accounting system, reconcile balances (current month and year-to-date) to the general ledger monthly. Ensure correct accounting for revenue including calculation of year-end accounts receivable and deferred revenue.Update contract tracking spreadsheet with actual or estimated invoice amounts; coordinate with program managers on spending and answer questions about amounts remaining on individual contract lines.
