The Release Customs Analyst will be responsible for processing and releasing client shipments accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with customs requirements and operational standards. The role involves managing shipment documentation, supporting clients, and collaborating with operational teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
- Process, review, and release client shipments across different transportation modes while meeting service deadlines and quality expectations.
- Create customs entries by reviewing shipment documentation, selecting appropriate client records, vendors, and classification information.
- Enter and validate shipment data required for release, rating, billing, and compliance purposes.
- Ensure accurate reporting of customs values, tariff classifications, and applicable trade treatments based on shipment details.
- Review documentation to confirm release conditions, compliance requirements, and regulatory accuracy.
- Contact internal teams or clients to obtain missing documentation, instructions, or information needed for shipment release.
- Follow standard operating procedures, exception processes, client instructions, and compliance guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation usage, and operational efficiency.
- Respond professionally to information requests from internal teams and clients through phone or email communication.
- Prioritize workload based on customs requirements, client commitments, and operational priorities.
- Escalate complex release issues, authorization requirements, and compliance concerns to appropriate teams.
- Support billing-related activities and data entry processes when required.
- Participate in daily operational activities and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to established policies and procedures.

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or additional post-secondary education preferred.

- Competitive salary range of approximately $16.50 - $25.48 USD per hour, depending on skills, experience, location, and market factors.
