JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY
The Certified Kia/Hyundai Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on vehicles, diagnosing issues, ensuring safety and quality standards, and effectively communicating with team members and customers.
MUST BE FULLY CERTIFIED AS A KIA OR HYUNDAI TECHNICIAN TO QUALIFY FOR SIGN ON BONUS!!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
- Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment and recommend appropriate repairs and solutions.
- Follow safety protocols and dealership standards to ensure a safe working environment and quality repairs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and service advisors to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.
- Stay updated on automotive technology, repair techniques, and manufacturer updates through training and professional development.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service bay and work areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Send Tech line cases and track the status of them regularly.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Fully Certified as Kia and/or Hyundai Technician required for sign on bonus.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex vehicle issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and dealership standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Inspect and Diagnose vehicles in a timely manner. Reset promise times as needed with advisors.
- MPI Inspections to be completed 100% of the time. Every vehicle every time.
- Make X-time recommendations as needed to increase ticket sales. Upload recommendations with pictures/video with as much detail as possible.
- Follow standard and set labor times.
- Follow all warranty procedures including uploading all required pictures into claim when completing repairs.
- Complete all paperwork including story and op code into DealerTrack at time of completion for ticket to be flagged.
- Stay up to date on all required manufacturing training and certifications along with all mandatory safety and compliance trainings set by dealer. Must be completed by set deadlines.
- Repairs must be completed by set promise times or repair times must be reset by technician.
- Keep shop and work area free of trash and debris. Spills must be covered and cleaned properly, and all containers must be labeled and stored off the ground with a lid.
- Gain and maintain certifications for all brand manufacturers relevant to the projects you are working with or on.
