The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing enterprise infrastructure, leading technical initiatives, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoint management solutions, SaaS applications, cloud environments, and network systems.
- Lead technical projects such as system upgrades, migrations, deployments, and technology integrations while minimizing operational disruption.
- Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, and network issues while performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Bash scripting, REST APIs, and AI-powered platforms to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage endpoint lifecycle processes, including application deployment, security policies, compliance management, provisioning, maintenance, and retirement.
- Ensure strong security practices through patch management, vulnerability remediation, compliance controls, and adherence to frameworks such as NIST, CIS, SOX, PCI, and ITGC.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to define architecture strategies and align technology solutions with organizational objectives.
- Mentor Systems Administrators and IT support teams by sharing technical expertise, best practices, and modern automation approaches.
- Maintain disaster recovery, business continuity plans, documentation, and operational procedures to support resilient IT services.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve infrastructure performance and support business growth.
- Participate in after-hours project activities and incident response when required.
The ideal candidate is an experienced IT infrastructure professional with strong technical expertise, automation skills, and the ability to manage complex enterprise environments. Required qualifications and skills include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 8+ years of progressive IT experience.
- Strong experience designing and managing enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Windows, macOS, Linux environments, and virtualization platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Bash, with experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Anthropic Claude for intelligent automation.
- Experience with endpoint management platforms, including creating custom packages, managing policies, ensuring compliance, and supporting full device lifecycles.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS applications, identity management, and enterprise systems administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing environments, and independently drive complex projects.
- Experience supporting US-based business teams and working with global stakeholders is preferred.
- Ability to work with US Eastern Time overlap requirements, including approximately four core business hours in the evening India Standard Time.
- Experience working in IT environments supporting publicly traded companies is a plus.
- Annual compensation range of 10,68,800 – 14,96,300 INR, depending on experience, skills, location, and market alignment.
